Performance Framework Development and Implementation
ACF has developed Performance Frameworks for more than 20 different ISS Programs, in Canada and Internationally allowing customer to realize on performance and cost benefits. These frameworks are currently being used to manage and deliver outcomes through automated monitoring and reporting of key business processes. Reporting features include real-time access to root data, automated performance trending, impact analysis, KPI reporting, root cause analysis and monthly performance reviews. While many of these programs have initially focused on fleet availability, the scope is evolving to include broader strategic outcomes to support overall enterprise success.
Performance Management Centre of Excellence
When a major Defence Sustainment Company was looking to improve Customer experience and value, they engaged ACF to administer and manage their Performance Management Centre of Excellence. Envisioned to service up to 20 ISS Programs in the next several years, ACF designed, developed and delivered a Centre of Excellence that is ahead of schedule in terms of onboarded-Programs, Customer expectations and end-Customer satisfaction.
Data Analysis and Maintenance Performance
When Canada’s Department of National Defence was seeking to develop pan-Fleet Performance Metrics, it engaged ACF Associates to develop Fleet Availability Performance Models and build a suite of Fleet Availability and Maintenance Performance Metrics. ACF designed, proposed and developed the metric criteria, followed by the detailed application of the criteria to all DND Fleets – ultimately delivering a Dashboard-based application that is accessible to DND Users. The application enables Users to view and analyze fleet and Unit-specific maintenance performance and compare against historic values, current targets, and other fleets. Pulling data from a variety of source systems, ACF continues to evolve and enhance this application through the addition of new metrics and additional platforms.
Operational Excellence through Continuous Improvement
Ensuring performance meets contractual requirements is paramount for many major Defence contracts. After assisting a customer with writing and winning a national ISS contract, ACF has utilized its unique performance management approach and application development to ensure the customer successfully drives continuous improvement for realization of contract performance requirements. With ACF’s data-based methods, we have initiated, prioritized, and lead various continuous improvement initiatives, increasing performance, resulting in financial benefit from long-term contract success.
Consolidated Inspection Optimization and Tracking
On many Defence Programs, execution of Consolidated Maintenance Inspections is more of an art than a science. ACF was engaged to assist Customers in maximizing production throughput to reduce inspection span times. ACF designed and implemented a web-based application that enables Maintenance Planners to assign resources based upon optimized task sequencing, forecast resources, project delays, capture constraints, and track and monitor inspection progress and end-dates. The capability also records historic performance to enable long-term continuous improvement. This capability enabled a 30-40% reduction in span times.
